Penn State Brandywine’s sustainability committee invites students, staff, faculty and the local community to a free showing of “Bag It,” a documentary film exposing the effects of plastic bags and other plastic consumer merchandise on the ecosystem. The film will be shown at 6:30 p.m. on April 18 in Room 101 of the Main Building.
Students at Penn State Brandywine had the opportunity to present their research to the campus community at Brandywine’s annual Exhibition of Undergraduate Research Enterprise and Creative Accomplishment (EURECA) on Tuesday, April 3.
Penn State Brandywine will host its 50th Anniversary Gala at 6 p.m. on May 11. The 1960s-themed, black-tie-optional evening of food and entertainment will be held in the campus’ new Student Union. Proceeds will benefit Brandywine’s emergency scholarship fund.
Stand for State will host an event, “All That WE ARE,” at Penn State campuses between Jan. 15 and 30. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.
Penn State Brandywine awarded 58 diplomas at its fall commencement ceremony on Friday, Dec. 15. Chancellor Kristin Woolever welcomed the graduates, families and friends who gathered in the Commons/Athletic Center on campus.
Penn State Brandywine celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first day of classes on Sept. 25 with cakes featuring historical photos, ice cream and apple pie. The campus property had been both a dairy farm and apple orchard in the past. Chancellor Kristin Woolever (center) and the Nittany Lion were joined at the celebration by four members of the campus community who share Brandywine’s Sept. 25 birthday: Head Softball Coach Mark Caserta, sophomore Brian Reynolds, freshman Brandon Welden and part-time instructor Thomas “Max” Guerin.
To help make finding the right college easier, Penn State Brandywine will host the Pennsylvania Association of College Admissions Counselors' Delaware County Regional College Fair.
